Seven movies to debut this week

War for the Planet of the Apes

Co-written by Mark Bomback and Matt Reeves, the latest movie in the series of "Planet of the Apes," is one of the best movies out this week.

The "War for the Planet of the Apes," starring Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson, Steve Zahn, Karin Konoval and Amiah Miller, is directed by Matt Reeves.

The apes led by "Ceasar" are as vicious as before in the latest movie on the war between army of apes lead by Ceasar and army of humans led by the Colonel.

4 horror stories from 4 female directors

The only horror movie of the week, "XX" translated to Turkish as "Korku Tüneli" (Horror Tunnel) depicts four different horror stories.

It was co-written by Roxanne Benjamin and Jovanka Vuckovic and directed by Roxanne Benjamin, St. Vincent, Jovanka Vuckovic and Karyn Kusama. Also, the movie features Melanie Lynskey, Sheila Vand, Natalie Brown and Kyle Allen.

The Exception

The rising young star of action movies, Australian actor Jai Courtney takes the lead in the "The Exception." The movie focuses on stories, war, intelligence activities and love flourishing around the German Emperor Wilhelm II on an exile in the Netherlands.

The U.K. production movie is written by Simon Burke and Alan Judd, directed by David Leveaux and stars Lily James, Christopher Plummer, Janet McTeer and Eddie Marsan alongside Courtney.

Ghosts in Leading Roles

French-U.S. co-production, "Planetarium," with Natalie Portman in the leading female role tells the story of Laura and Kate Barlow sisters, who are believed to have the ability to talk to ghosts when their paths cross with a famous producer in Paris, which they visited for a show.

Written by Robin Campillo and directed by Rebecca Zlotowski, the movie features Lily-Rose Depp, Emmanuel Salinger, Amira Casar and Louis Garrel.

Apprentice of the Hangman

Written and directed by the young director from Singapore, Junfeng Boo, "Apprentice" aims to draw the audiences into a drama in the setting of a prison. The Singapore-German-French co-production stars Gerald Chew, Crispian Chan, Boon Pin Koh and Mastura Ahmad.

The movie focuses on Aiman, a 28-year guardian leading a modest life with his sister. Aiman is transferred to a high-security prison. He becomes close with the hangman, Rahim, in charge of executions and is offered the chance to become his apprentice. Aiman finally gets the chance he's been after for years; he is going to learn the art of execution from the man who executed his father years ago.

Bonnie Bears 3

The animation takes the viewers to the world of animals in a circus who have to perform hard tasks is directed by Ding Liang and dubbed by Sinan Divrik, Erhan Türkmen, Arda Kavaklıoğlu and Emin Yaraç.

The movie follows "Bear Briar"s adventures, which is forced to work in the circus and soon becomes its star.

Pettson and Findus

This German-made comedy brings together real and animated characters. Written by Thomas Springer and directed by Ali Samadi Ahadi, the movie depicts the story of courageous cat Findus, who is looking for a home, and a farmer named Pettersson.
